Church Life
Everyone is welcome at New Wine!
We want to provide a safe space for children and young people to discover a faith in Jesus for themselves and to learn to follow him, while having fun and building friendships in church. For the children, we provide workbooks with a whole host of activities to work through during the preach. Once a month we take the youth out of the normal service to give them a chance to explore the Bible and discipleship together.
Midweek Zoom / In person prayer
We love gathering as community through the week. We meet online at a weekly Zoom Group on Tuesdays at 8pm for an hour and we host prayer evenings too.
Evangelism and Outreach
We are an outward-looking church that wants to love and serve the community of Islington and surrounding area. We run a whole host of activities from support people through Christians Against Poverty to regular outreaches in the local estates. We love to share the good news of Jesus on the streets. If you have a heart to reach out to the wider community, come and join us!
Fellowship and Eating Together
Just like the early church we like to eat together. We regularly enjoy a shared lunch together after church. Everyone brings something to share – but don’t worry there is always lots of food so you are welcome to join in, even if you didn’t bring anything!
We really believe in fellowship and sharing all things in common (Acts 2:42) so we have tea and coffee together at the end of each Sunday morning meeting. We also love to build community by eating in each other’s homes and sharing life together.
